Editorial and disclosure policy

Global Trading Outlook publishes two kinds of articles, and we always tell you which is which.

Our labels

Editorial. Guides, analysis and news that we choose, research and write ourselves. Nobody pays for them and nobody outside GTO approves them before publication.

Partner Content. Features paid for by the firm or person they are about. Our editors write them from the partner’s brief and interview answers. The partner checks the draft for factual accuracy and approves it before we publish. Every Partner Content article carries the label at the top and a disclosure line naming who paid, and links to the partner’s website are marked as sponsored.

Republished. Works by other authors that are free of copyright, such as speeches, research notes and investor alerts published by US federal agencies, which are in the public domain. We credit the real author and the original publisher, give the original date, link to the original and to the publisher’s reuse policy, and say what we left out (usually footnotes and charts). We don’t otherwise change the text. Republication doesn’t mean the author or publisher endorses Global Trading Outlook.

Who we feature

• Brokers, trading platforms and other regulated firms must hold a licence we can verify on the regulator’s own public register. We check the exact legal entity and the website domains the register lists.
• We search regulator warning lists and the IOSCO I-SCAN database before accepting any firm. If a firm fails these checks, we decline it and refund in full.
• We don’t publish claims we can’t verify, including trading returns, win rates, profit screenshots or guaranteed outcomes.
• Articles about CFD and leveraged-product providers include the provider’s risk warning.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every article is edited and fact-checked by a person before it is published, and a person is responsible for everything we publish.

The GTO Trading Awards

Our awards are judged on criteria we publish in full. Entering is free. Winners are chosen before any commercial conversation takes place, and buying a feature, advertising or a winner’s package never affects a result.
